How do you work with people? What type of therapy do you practice?I work as part of Marin Wellness Counseling (www.marinwellnesscounseling.com), so I am part of a practice with multiple specialities. Regarding my own background and training, it really depends on your situation and what you are looking for. I tailor the work we do based on the issues you bring, your budget, and how long you are looking to work with someone. Some approaches that I tend to use and have been trained in are psychodynamic psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiencing (SE) (Beginning level training completed), Motivational Interviewing, and Attachment Theory/Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Also see the About page to learn more about how I work.

Cancellation PolicyYou will benefit most from therapy when you attend every week. There are many different styles of therapy that may be effective and it’s important that you find the right fit for you. The type of work I offer is most effective with regular sessions. Therefore, I generally require a commitment from clients to attend weekly therapy. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, meaning that if you cancel up to 24 hours before a session, you will not be charged. However if you are within 24 hours before an appointment time, you will be charged for the session. The best way to cancel an appointment with me is via email.
